If you’re new to the world of boudoir photography, coming in for your photoshoot can be daunting. Thoughts like, “oh my god, this woman is going to see me practically naked,” are probably running through your head.
When you enter my Georgia studio, it becomes my mission to make sure you feel comfortable, safe, confident, and sexy. However, I do have a couple of tips and tricks to help ease your nerves.
Tip #1: Practice Self-Care
I often tell my girls to relax right before the shoot. I recommend doing a soothing face mask, soaking in a hot bubble bath, or getting your nails done at your favorite salon.
Tip #2: Remind Yourself You Deserve This
You don’t need an excuse to book a boudoir shoot. Of course, many ladies come in to celebrate a special moment or one of life’s milestones, but always remember you deserve to feel gorgeous, regularly.
Tip #3: Body Positivity
Leave your self-doubting thoughts at the door. You are beautiful! You have something unique and special about you. Listen, I know what it’s like to feel vulnerable in front of a camera, never mind not fully dressed. Most of the time, a couple of snaps of the camera is all it takes to break out of your shell.
On the day of your shoot, we’ll work one-on-one to ensure you feel your very best. Usually, hair, makeup, and a couture outfit are all a gal needs to feel awesome! You’re the storyteller. I’m just here to make sure you’re heard.
